Barangaroo South – Public Domain Trees

Tree Planting & Establishment Audit

Barangaroo South comprises the southern 7.5 hectares of the Barangaroo urban renewal precinct. Designed to contain a landmark mix of commercial, residential, retail and dining. It will be home to 1,800 residents and 23,000 office workers. More than 50% of the precinct is public open space and 100% of the foreshore is accessible to pedestrians and cyclists. The area is expected to attract approximately 18 million visitors p/a.

As part of the post completion landscape establishment Arboreport was engaged to provide an independent review of the recently planted public domain trees. We inspected and assessed the trees using a range of metrics.

We were able to provide commentary on the condition of the trees including assessment of planting practices and tree condition. We then made recommendations in the form of works for remedial actions to improve tree establishment.
