Heritage Precinct
Tree Management Plan
Pre-dating the establishment of Canberra, Duntroon was one of three properties owned by the Campbell family before it became an officer training school. The site is centred around ‘Duntroon House’ the first home, built in 1833.
Arboreport prepared an inventory, audit and management plan for close to 700 trees in the Duntroon heritage precinct. As part of the management plan we identified trees that may require maintenance or removal over the next 5 years.
We plotted graphically the tree population providing mapped information around useful life expectancy and required management actions. These graphic representations were designed to make it easy for site managers to allocate budgets and programme resources for maintenance activities.
