Development Tree Management
Illabunda eco Village is a 2Ha (5 acre) property owned by the Cook family for over 50 years. Cleared for orchards and grazing until in 1992, when the re-establishment of Cumberland Plain Woodland tree species commenced. In 2002, a masterplan was conceived to develop a portion of the site with multiple townhouse and bungalows. All design development focussed on sustainable use of land, power, water and materials, with an emphasis on using renewable energy and recycling water.
Arboreport has provided Arboricultural Impact Assessments for the townhouses in proximity to the developing stand of Cumberland Woodland trees since 2012.
Since then, ongoing advice has been provided by Arboreport for general tree management, and specifically to provide Risk Assessment using ISA TRA® methodology for trees with hazardous tree parts near structures and frequently occupied areas.
