Lachlans Line is a new contemporary urban village providing approximately 2,700 homes for around 5,000 residents. The Lachlan’s Line Bridge connects Landcom’s Lachlan’s Line urban village to North Ryde Metro Station and surrounding business parks.

Arboreport was engaged by NPC on behalf of Landcom to provide a complex assessment of impacts on adjacent trees. Complexities arose for tree management relating to the bespoke and innovative nature of the construction methods required to build this complex piece of infrastructure. We worked with the project engineers to design a crane platform close to trees that limited compaction and enabled water infiltration and gaseous exchange in the root zone.

The trees we assessed were owned by multiple landholders, sitting across several land use zones and included the protection of trees from endangered ecological communities.
