The Rocks – NSW Place Management

Tree Risk Assessment
Tree Management Plan

The Rocks Precinct is the site of the first colonial settlement and is known as the birthplace of Sydney. It has significant value from a European cultural heritage perspective and is a major tourism destination for domestic and international visitors.

Our involvement in The Rocks Precinct stems back to 2009-2010 when employed by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority to inspect and report, provide management advice to assist in the management of the trees in the Rocks Precinct.

More recently in 2020 we were engaged to undertake an extensive baseline survey of all trees in the Rocks precinct from Grosvenor Street to Dawes Point Reserve and including the Circular Quay area. Along with this survey an accompanying report was provided to provide tree management recommendations.

Scope:

  • Tree Inventory
  • Hazard identification
  • Tree Risk Assessment
  • Tree Location Plan
  • Management Actions recommendations
